My research interests are mainly in the optical and infrared astronomical instrumentation. I have worked on the wide field infrared camera (WIRCam) for CFHT and the Hyper SuprimeCam for the Subaru telescope. Currently, I am leading the OIR instrumentation group to work on SPIROU for CFHT and Prime Focus Spectrograph (PFS) for Subaru telescope. Meanwhile, I am the project manager of the Taiwan-America-Occultation Survey (TAOS) project and the Transneptunian Automated Occultation Survey (TAOS2) project. Also, I am involved in the development of SPace Infrared telescope for Cosmology and Astrophysics (SPICA) project through the collaboration with JAXA. I am also interested in the development of the quantum structure infrared detectors, especially the quantum dot infrared detectors. With Taiwanese company and research institute,I also worked on the infrared technology and the infrared focal plane arrays. development.
