He grew up in Tallahassee, Fla. with two younger sisters and wonderful parents. Following college, He got married to my lovely wife and we moved to Georgia for my graduate studies in health policy and management at Emory University and medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. His family and I enjoyed living in the South, but we decided to migrate to the Northeast for my internal medicine residency at Yale University and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. They have three children, and following the completion of my training, they happily moved back home to the South to be closer to our family.
